Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed for an 8-week night shift assignment in the Fairfield, Mount Vernon, and Mount Carmel, Illinois area. The role offers up to $61 per hour, 36 hours per week, and a consistent 3x12 shift schedule in a hospital emergency department. Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and experience in acute care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments
• Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical-care situations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge plans
• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency department protocols

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Active Illinois RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

Preferred Skills:

• Current PALS certification (preferred or required based on facility guidelines)
• TNCC certification preferred
• Previous Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred
