Lead Software Engineer - Waco

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We require candidates to have a Bachelor’s Degree along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, individuals with a minimum of 10 years of related experience without a degree may also apply. Successful candidates should demonstrate prior software development experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector and possess an understanding of software development principles and design patterns. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar is essential. Experience with Asterisk, VoIP, Multicast, and RTP is also required. Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies is expected, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the willingness to travel or work extended hours.

• In this role, you will design and implement new software features and frameworks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within set deadlines and budget constraints. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and functionalities while engaging with team members in planning project timelines, executing design specifications, and improving system performance. Conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and documenting software implementations to maintain development quality will also be part of your responsibilities. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software applications to enhance user experience and system performance. Active participation in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demonstrations, is expected. You will also stay updated with technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
