Details Work in a Phase I PACU that is open and staffed 24/7 Level 1 trauma center receiving all surgical specialties except open heart surgery 4x10 day shift schedule from 11:00 to 21:30 Average daily census of 65-85 patients Call requirement of 12-24 hours within a 6 week schedule block Required to work or take call on any holiday occurring during the contract Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals Cerner EMR used and experience required Requirements Active IN or compact RN license required in hand prior to start Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required Level 1 trauma center experience required Cerner charting experience required ICU/PCU experience preferred Experience with peds and intubated patients required Experience across surgical specialties including neuro, ortho, PV, thoracic, urology, gyn, and plastics required Previous travel nursing experience required 2 supervisor references required Nursing education must be from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Care for a high acuity, fast-paced patient population including many critical care and neuro patients Must be comfortable working in a large, fast-paced facility Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval First-time travelers are welcome to apply IN residents are considered local and may be offered the position at a lower in-state pay rate Former IU perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler Current or past IU travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a break before reassignment (3 months for out-of-state residents, 6 months for in-state residents) American Traveler Job ID P-744728.
