The Daily Nosh is a new breakfast and lunch restaurant in Downtown Roseville focused on quality, hospitality, and genuine guest connection. We're building a team that creates a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience from the moment guests walk through the door.

We're looking for a friendly and organized Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role sets the tone for the entire dining experience and plays a key part in managing the flow of the restaurant.

What You'll Do

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming first impression
• Manage waitlists and reservations with accuracy and efficiency
• Seat guests strategically to support smooth service flow
• Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding table status
• Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready host stand and entry area
• Assist with light support tasks as needed

Compensation & Compliance

• Hourly pay in accordance with California minimum wage laws
• Position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime
• Meal and rest breaks provided per California law
• Employment is at-will

What We're Looking For

• Previous host or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and people skills
• Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Ability to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for up to 6–8+ hours per shift
• Ability to walk frequently and navigate a busy restaurant environment
• Occasional lifting up to 20–25 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
