Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one support for a 10-year-old elementary student during the school day.

Position Details

1:1 assignment with a 4th-grade student
Student is verbal, mobile, and able to eat and drink orally
No G-tube care required
Student is trach and ventilator dependent
Bus riding is required as part of the assignment

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care throughout the school day
Monitor and manage tracheostomy and ventilator needs
Accompany the student to and from school on the bus
Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure student safety and success
Respond to medical needs and maintain appropriate documentation

Transportation Details

The student resides in Cedar Springs, MI. The nurse will meet at the student's home each morning, park there, and accompany the student on the school bus to and from school.

Qualifications

Active Michigan RN or LPN license
Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care preferred
Ability to work independently in a one-on-one setting
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
