Paralegal - Family Law

We are currently hiring for two separate positions : Paralegal – Family Law Managing Paralegal – Family Law If you're an experienced Family Law professional looking to join a collaborative legal team, we'd love to hear from you. Position 1: Paralegal – Family Law Position Overview We're seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to provide litigation support throughout all stages of family law matters. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys managing multiple cases, working closely with attorneys, and delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all phases of family law litigation. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence. Coordinate electronic court filings while ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines. Manage case calendars, court appearances, mediations, and litigation schedules. Review and organize financial records, tax returns, banking documents, and supporting evidence. Coordinate discovery, document production, depositions, and expert communications. Prepare exhibits, hearing notebooks, trial binders, and case materials. Maintain organized case files and monitor case progress. Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and other parties involved in litigation. Record billable time and provide additional litigation support as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Family Law Paralegal experience. Strong litigation support and case management experience. Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Washington, DC family law experience is preferred but not required. Position 2: Managing Paralegal – Family Law Position Overview We're also seeking a senior Family Law Paralegal who is ready to take on a leadership role. This position combines hands-on litigation support with mentoring, workflow coordination, and operational leadership within the Family Law practice. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support the Family Law paralegal team. Collaborate with attorneys to oversee case assignments, staffing, and deadlines. Handle complex family law matters from initial filing through trial or settlement. Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery documents, financial disclosures, subpoenas, and trial materials. Organize and analyze financial records and supporting documentation. Coordinate discovery, court filings, and litigation schedules. Prepare attorneys and clients for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial. Assist with onboarding, training, and developing legal support staff. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and department efficiency. Maintain exceptional client communication throughout each matter. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Family Law Paralegal experience. Prior supervisory, mentoring, or team leadership experience is highly preferred. Thorough understanding of family law litigation procedures. Strong drafting, organizational, and case management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
