Director, Lead IT Product Manager, Trial Operations

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director and Lead IT Product Manager for Trial Operations to own the IT product portfolio across the clinical trial lifecycle. This leadership role prioritizes AI-driven solutions to eliminate manual processes while ensuring compliance in a regulated environment, requiring strategic vision, team development, and external engagement with vendors and industry peers.

Responsibilities

Set AI-first vision and strategy for trial operations technology portfolio to eliminate manual work
Lead product roadmap development and IT investment prioritization across BMS, sites, and CROs
Coach, mentor, and develop 6 direct reports and 10-15 matrixed contributors with accountability for growth
Drive disciplined execution of multimillion-dollar IT investment and run spend budgets
Engage vendors, industry peers, and technology leaders to advance BMS's clinical trial innovation position

Requirements

12+ years pharmaceutical or biopharma industry experience with R&D and clinical operations exposure
Demonstrated track record deploying AI, ML, or agentic automation with quantifiable enterprise impact
10+ years IT product management or strategy in biopharma/life sciences with Agile delivery experience
Working knowledge of trial lifecycle, GxP compliance, CSV/CSA, and Part 11 regulatory requirements
Proven ability to define success metrics and quantify business outcomes of technology investments
Experience coaching and building high-performing teams in matrixed, compliance-sensitive environments
Skilled at driving IT adoption and stakeholder influence without direct authority

Compensation: $189,890-$230,102 base
