Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular evaluations of clients' mental health to assess their needs and progress, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
- Facilitate effective communication among clients, family members, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of treatment goals.
- Create tailored treatment plans to address individual client needs, including psychotherapy sessions, home visits, and progress tracking.
- Organize and conduct necessary home visits to gather comprehensive insights into clients’ environments and support requirements.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on client care and share valuable insights.
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly progress reports to monitor client developments and document outcomes.
- Lead training sessions to enhance the skills of team members in program execution and documentation procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure that all necessary information is readily accessible to authorized personnel.
- Act as a bridge between the community and mental health resources, facilitating access to care and encouraging positive outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of training materials aimed at improving individual programming and therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Brave Mind Mental Clinic, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Your expertise in clinical counseling will enable you to adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring you can provide effective support throughout their mental health journey.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon.
- Minimum of two years of direct counseling experience in a clinical environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment preferred.
- Comprehension of legal and ethical standards within mental healthcare.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, demonstrating effective teamwork and cooperation.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and telehealth technologies.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in conducting telehealth sessions or handling remote consultations will be highly regarded.
- Prior experience in supervising interns or junior counselors is valued.
- Advanced certifications or training in specialized therapeutic modalities.
