We are looking for a highly motivated, people-oriented Customer Service & Office Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, entry-level position perfect for someone eager to learn the complexities of the insurance industry. While prior insurance experience is not required , the ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to learn, a calm demeanor, excellent data entry skills, as well as a commitment to long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Greet customers warmly as they enter the office and manage incoming phone calls with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Communication: Answer phones, check messages, and accurately forward calls to the appropriate agents.
- Payment Processing: Efficiently process customer payments.
- Data Entry: Accurately take and enter data required for insurance quotes (e.g., VIN numbers, policy details) into our quoting and management systems.
- Policy Management: Assist with policy changes and other administrative tasks as needed (with full training provided).
- Documentation: Scan and organize data into our management system.
- Problem Resolution: Maintain a positive and composed attitude, even when assisting customers who may be experiencing frustration, ensuring their concerns are handled with respect and professionalism.
- Office Support: Contribute to general office organization and cleanliness.

Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or greater.

- People-Oriented: A pleasant telephone voice, positive personality, excellent listening skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, maintaining composure in all interactions.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a fast-paced team environment.
- Professionalism: Professional dress and demeanor are required.
- Work Ethic: High energy, positive "can-do" attitude, prompt, dependable, friendly, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
- Reliability: Ability to be on time and consistently work a 40-hour week.

Location: This is an in-person position at our office in the Irmo-St. Andrews area of Columbia, SC. No remote work options are available.
