Agentic AI Engineer - Ottawa

Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We have at least 2 years of experience in backend engineering, AI automation, or integrating complex systems.
• We can build and support production-ready software with clear modular boundaries, such as separate services for parsing, processing logic, and reporting.
• We have strong proficiency in at least two major programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or Java, and experience with SQL databases.
• We are comfortable working in live, non-simulated environments and managing multi-turn system interactions.
• We have excellent attention to detail and can deliver concise, high-value technical feedback on sophisticated system behavior.
• It is a plus if we have experience designing multi-stage coordination workflows where data gathering leads to reasoned outputs.
• It is a plus if we have integrated agents with live tools such as Supabase, Gmail, and other APIs to solve practical problems.
• It is a plus if we are comfortable implementing persistent state and session discovery using MEMORY.md to monitor agent progress.
• It is a plus if we can identify subtle issues such as privacy leaks, authority escalation, or indirect prompt injection.

• We will help train advanced AI systems by providing human feedback that improves agent performance.
• We will contribute to projects that teach large language models how to plan, coordinate, and optimize complex real-world workflows.
• We will support the development of proactive, multi-step agents by evaluating how they behave in realistic scenarios.
• We will work on architectural orchestration tasks that require structured reasoning and effective system design.
• We will review complex system outcomes and provide detailed technical observations to strengthen model training.
