Electrical Engineer IV Contract Position Houston, TX - On Site OR Duluth, MN - On Site Hourly rate starting at $65.00 per hour - higher rates BOE Environment:

80% of work is office based working with multiple project teams

20% of time is in the field scoping projects or supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities

Work requires strong computer skills typically using Microsoft Office applications

Description:

Oversee the design for Liquids Pump Station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third party engineering firms

Ensure compliance with Company standards / specs and industry standards and manage the project budget and schedule.

Liaison with other groups within Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure project requirements are achieved and incorporated into the design deliverables.

Manage third-party engineering consultants to ensure all design deliverables and quality standards are met while maintaining budget and schedule

Ensure that all pump station facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes and corporate standards.

Designing electrical components and interconnects

Reviews and approves design deliverables - Ex: drawings, technical reports and material listing sheets.

Participate in design review meetings with Engineering, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction personnel to discuss the scope, design, performance and constructability issues.

Review vendor materials quotes, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, price and delivery. Ex: pump and motor equipment, vessels, buildings, generators, pipe, valves and fittings.

Identify and communicate lessons learned and quality incidents.

Qualifications:

Must be located in the United States and be able to work without sponsorship now or in the future.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.

Capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks
