Salary & Telework Salary Range: $50,776.00 – $78,526.00 This position qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine in‑office and remote workdays after successful training. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management. Responsibilities Administer salary and policy administration, personnel action processing, and organizational management processing for assigned judicial districts. Oversee unemployment, employee orientation, and time/leave administration for the same functional areas. Manage the employee life‑cycle from hiring through separation, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Research, audit, and correct compensation, personnel action, and organizational management issues as needed. Maintain expertise in personnel administration, organizational management, time/leave administration, and state and federal policies. Provide guidance on compensation, policies, and procedures to employees, managers, and elected officials. Serve as NCID administrator and E‑Verify administrator. Report to the Human Resources Manager and collaborate with the Salary Administration Team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of NC General Statutes and federal, state, and judicial branch personnel and pay policies; U.S. Immigration Act; Fair Labor Standards Act; Family Medical Leave Act; Integrated HR/Payroll System. Skills in basic math, data analysis, oral and written communication, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work; analyze personnel situations; effectively communicate complex pay policies; calculate precise mathematical computations; Creatively solve problems and work effectively with others. Work under pressure and adhere to strict guidelines. Minimum Education & Experience Graduation from a four‑year college or university with coursework applicable to human resources; Or an associate degree and two (2) years of experience in compensation theory and practice; Or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Management prefers candidates with experience in a large enterprise (1,000+ employees) HR office handling pay/time/leave policies. NC state government experience and Integrated HR/Payroll system experience (not Employee Self Service) are strongly desired. Preference for Experience with Integrated HR/Payroll/SAP.
