Office & Accounting Manager

Waco, TX

We are seeking an experienced Office & Accounting Manager to oversee all business and financial operations. This role is responsible for managing accounting processes, office administration, and human resources functions in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage all business aspects of the company, including banking, accounting, and county, state, and federal tax reporting and filings
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Manage HR functions , including payroll, benefits administration, training, safety, hiring, and employee terminations
  • Perform inventory and general ledger review
  • Prepare and post adjusting journal entries on a monthly and annual basis
  • Prepare year-end reports for CPA review
Supervision & Office Operations
  • Supervise accounting personnel and ensure all department functions are completed accurately
  • Answer and route telephone calls; take and deliver messages
  • Respond to customer inquiries
  • Perform bookkeeping and data entry
  • Collect, count, and balance cash drawers
  • Send statements and invoices via mail and email
  • Manage company calendars and scheduling
  • Organize and coordinate office activities
  • Operate office machines and equipment
  • Manage data processing network, troubleshoot issues, and notify IT support as needed
  • Assist with reordering and restocking office supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must have relevant experience listed on resume
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred
  • Must pass a drug test and background check and comply with company's zero-tolerance policy
  • Ability to work effectively with different personality types and be a team player
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in an active work environment
  • Strong commitment to integrity, accuracy, and detail
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of general office systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer/data network systems
  • Strong data entry skills
Compensation

Compensation is dependent upon knowledge, experience, and capabilities.
