Location: Boca Raton, FL (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our client's Boca Raton office. This individual will support the firm's day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, billing, payment processing, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including cash receipts, payments, and disbursements.
• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, issuing checks, and coordinating vendor payments.
• Prepare, review, and process client billings, including billing corrections and adjustments.
• Post incoming payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process wire transfers and other banking transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial discrepancies.
• Maintain and update general ledger entries to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with month-end accounting activities and financial reporting.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment-related inquiries.
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting or a similar financial support role.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, billing, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
• Prior law firm accounting experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
