Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students with predominantly learning disabilities in small, focused classroom settings. Two full-time positions are available for the upcoming school year—one in a middle school environment and one at the high school level, both near New Lenox, IL.
Positions Available:
Middle School (5th – 8th Grade):
- Teach Math and English Language Arts
- Assignment runs approximately from November 20, 2026, through March 10, 2027
- Small classrooms of up to 10 students
- Daily schedule: 7:45 AM – 3:10 PM
- Teach 3 ELA periods and 2 math periods each day
High School (9th – 12th Grade):
- Focus on Math and English Language Arts, with one study hall and one “Adult Living” period
- Approximate dates: February 4, 2027, through May 7, 2027
- No more than 10 students per class
- Daily schedule: 7:55 AM – 3:20 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with instructional Math and ELA preferred
- Capability to adapt lessons for various learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with fellow staff and families

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored for small groups
- Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere
- Track student progress and modify instruction as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
