You’ll use sales data, market trends, store demographics, and product performance to help retailers maximize sales volume, distribution, and gross profit.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with retail operations, analyzing sales information, developing merchandising strategies, and collaborating with Sales and Buying teams to drive successful promotions.Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k) Plan, Employee Assistance ProgramPaid Sick Leave, Holidays, and VacationKey Retail Merchandiser Job ResponsibilitiesLocation: McClellan Air Force BaseRetail Sales Strategy: Implement retail sales and merchandising strategies designed to increase product movement, store distribution, sales volume, and gross profit.Merchandising & Product Development: Support product development, merchandising programs, and brand strategies for established retail customers.Sales & Market Analysis: Research and analyze store demographics, competitive activity, store schematics, produce sales trends, and the relationship between produce sales and overall store sales.Promotional Analysis: Analyze promotional sales compared to regular store sales and evaluate the effectiveness of retail merchandising and marketing programs.Category Management: Analyze product mix, sales reports, and category performance to identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.Retail Marketing: Implement retail marketing programs and merchandising initiatives that support customer and company objectives.Promotional Planning: Collaborate with the Buying and Sales Departments to develop and execute weekly promotional programs.Customer Support: Assist retail customers with strategies and recommendations designed to maximize sales, product distribution, and gross profit.Communication & Reporting: Regularly communicate with the Retail Services Manager regarding customer activities, sales performance, and merchandising initiatives.Administrative & Team Participation: Attend meetings and company functions as requested, follow company policies and procedures, comply with all safety and security regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.Retail Merchandiser QualificationsAge (Required): Must be at least 18 years of age.Experience (Preferred): At least 1 year of experience in retail or produce merchandising, or sales experience within the retail or grocery industry.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members, customers, and leadership.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications and ability to learn company systems.Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with retail partners.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, understand sales trends, and make informed merchandising decisions.Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.Retail Merchandiser Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
