If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for exceptional sandwich makers for our growing team. This position is ideal for experienced line cooks or prep cooks. As a sandwich maker, you will prepare sandwiches with speed and accuracy while engaging with guests and delivering excellent hospitality. Day‑to‑day Performance Expectations Follow assembly instructions and recipes accurately and thoroughly to ensure each sandwich is consistently delicious. Deliver consistently great hospitality: engage guests by greeting them with a smile, treating them with kindness, and finding the correct answers to any questions they may have. Applicants must be enthusiastic, hardworking, possess strong guest‑service skills, be eager to learn, and be able to work in a professional kitchen environment as part of a team. Skills for Qualification Availability to work at least 3–4 shifts (20 hours a week), including at least one weekend day. At least one year of previous experience in a fast‑paced food‑service environment. Ability to maintain proper grooming and uniform standards. Strong guest‑service skills and comfort working in a professional open‑kitchen environment. Self‑motivation and the ability to thrive in a fun, positive, fast‑paced team environment. We ask for a minimum commitment of one year for the FOH Sandwich Maker position. Unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work. Physical Requirements Be prepared to be on your feet all day; this is a physically active role. Ability to stand for long periods, walk, sit, push, pull, reach, and lift less than 50 lbs. without assistance. Ability to operate equipment such as ovens, grills, knives, and other kitchen equipment and utensils. Work Environment Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, machinery, and at times, tight spaces. Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures (at times, you could be in a freezer and/or hot kitchen). We strive to avoid cross‑contamination of gluten; however, gluten may be present in the air at times. We accommodate staff allergy requests as best as possible. Compensation This position has an average starting compensation of $20–$24 per hour (base wage of $15 + $5–$9 per hour in pooled tips). The starting pay rate is $15, with a total pay range of $15–$19.32.
