ASU/PACU Registered Nurse
Location: York, Maine
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week with a schedule of 4 - 9 hour shifts during the day, plus weekend call rotation.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ASU/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have solid critical thinking skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the ASU/PACU setting.
- Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs for urgent and emergency care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and health maintenance.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ASU/PACU or Critical Care unit.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
