Job Title: ControllerDepartment: AccountingReports To: Director of Corporate OperationsNumbers matter, but people, systems, and momentum matter more.We’re looking for a Controller with property management accounting experience, who can lead with clarity, build smart processes, and bring energy to the accounting function. This is not a “keep the lights on” role. It’s a chance to shape how accounting works, mentor a talented team, and help drive the business forward while staying true to our culture and values.What You’ll Own:Be the steady financial compass, leading the Accounting and AP teams with confidence, collaboration, and accountabilityTurn property financials into a well-oiled machine: accurate, timely, and delivered when promisedBuild and protect strong accounting controls that reduce risk and keep surprises off the balance sheetModernize workflows by embracing technology and smarter systems (less friction, more efficiency)Partner closely with Operations and Admin teams to solve problems, streamline processes, and improve communicationKeep a pulse on cash flow, reserves, reimbursables, and banking activity, raising flags before issues become firesStep in when needed to support complex accounting matters, transitions, or tight deadlinesYou’ll Thrive Here If You:Know GAAP inside and out and can explain it without putting people to sleepHave property management accounting experience (minimum 2 years)Enjoy mentoring, coaching, and building strong teamsAre comfortable talking directly with clients and leadership on complex financial topicsLove improving systems and aren’t afraid of change or new techHold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experienceWhy This Role Stands Out:You won’t be boxed into outdated processes or siloed decision making.
