Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients including deliveries, circulating C-sections, antepartum patients, and initial newborn assessments.
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• Current NRP certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in a Perinatal setting or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program.
• Familiarity with AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio standards across induction, antepartum, triage, and immediate postpartum care settings.
