Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Essential Responsibilities Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examine the form and texture of parts. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Control downtime by conducting routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt. Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Experience / Education High School Diploma Prior field-related experience Ability to pass required company tests and maintain proficiency during probationary training Qualifications Previous experience in electrical engineering or related fields Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Solid understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing Welding and cutting skills preferred Proficient in reading and writing Ability to troubleshoot motor and control systems Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems Adhere to all quality and safety codes Physical Demands / Work Environment Standing for extended periods Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. Manufacturing plant environment with large machinery and moving parts, forklift traffic, and material storage Capable of climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working in restricted or confined spaces 12-hour days (24/7 operation) after qualification Overtime as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
