Supply Coordinator 2The Supply Coordinator 2 manages the procurement, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies within the hospital to ensure seamless operations and patient care. The coordinator also helps troubleshoot supply chain issues and supports process improvements for efficiency.Responsibilities1. Inventory Control/Materials ManagementImplements inventory strategies to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.Analyzes historical usage and other key performance data to optimize inventory levels.Works closely to adjust par inventory levels in collaboration with Clinical Leadership. Communicates with Buyers to ensure timely delivery of products.Identifies changes in supply usage and initiates change in stock on hand levels; ensures appropriate label changes are completed to reflect accurate information; enters all system changes to local item master files. Addresses product conversions to ensure depletion of current product and onboarding of new product.Demonstrates a complete understanding of software procedures. Ensures proper practices are followed for decrementing inventory.Collaborates with Resource Utilization team to identify suitable product substitutions to avoid stock outages. Addresses manufacturer recalls of products to ensure timely response.Schedules and oversees quarterly cycle counts and annual/bi-annual physical inventory.2. LeadershipExemplifies the ability to take "ownership" of inventory management and any related issues that occur.Characterizes leadership ability by building trust relationships with customers and coworkers recognizing the value of diversity and remaining open to new viewpoints, ideas and talents.Serves as a change agent by identifying and acting on process improvement opportunities. Identifies opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and effectiveness and implements change. Ensures Joint Commission preparedness related to inventory management and storage at all times.3. Customer ServiceDemonstrates commitment to achieving superior customer satisfaction through quality of work, attention to detail, communication with customers, problem solving, initiative, flexibility, adaptability and attitude.Responds to customer issues and/or concerns.4. Other Duties as AssignedExecutes project tasks.Performs all other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired ExperienceMinimum of 4 years of related experience in supply management, purchasing, inventory control, materials management, or a closely related field.Experience working with vendors, purchase orders, inventory systems, and supply chain processes preferred.Required EducationHigh School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of related supply management experience; orBachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.About UsFMOL Health is a leading health care innovator in Louisiana and Mississippi.
