Duration: 12 Months (CTH)

Location: Houston, TX (3 days in a week onsite)

This is a W2 role

Job description:

• Proficient in Informatica Development as well as multiple design techniques
• Working proficiency in Informatica toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks
• Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
• Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software

1. Build a target state data model

2. Build effective controls within data & reporting process

3. Convert complex business logic into effective SQL query

4. Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting process

5. Partner with Data IT teams to drive data development & enhancement through an agile process

6. Understand complex data environment and be able to propose solutions to simplify/ optimize

7. Drive migration of reporting/ data environment to next gen platform leveraging Big data tools

8. Partner with Stateside team and India lead, to prioritize requirements and develop a schedule to meet the deadline

9. Assist in defining and documenting new processes and training/ mentoring new hires on new processes.

2. Strong Experience with Informatica ETL tool

3. Good knowledge on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

4. Working knowledge on LINUX OS and shell scripting

5. Working exposure on data integration and handling projects that involves processing huge volume of data

6. Hands-on experience in preparing/integrating the datasets to match to the reporting requirements

7. Expertise in working with agile projects and exposure to automated testing / dev ops kind of environments.

8. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

9. Working knowledge on Data Management/Data Quality Rules development will be a plus

10. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
