Production Supervisor

Duration:- 12- Months- position (May go Longer) Location:- Flint, MI Shift 1st / 2nd / 3rd will most likely have rotation Training starts on 1st shift Job Responsibilities The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers. Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. 1. Managerial experience, specifically working in a union environment. 2. Being able to adapt quickly. In the GSC, everything is constantly changing, and they need to be able to make changes on the fly. 3. Have an understanding of supply chain/logistics. Skills Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred. Previous knowledge of supply chain / material movement would give an edge Managerial experience is a plus within UAW space At least 1-2years of experience mandatory #J-18808-Ljbffr
