Job Summary:

HCA Florida Palms West Peds Emergency Department is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physician for our newly remodeled 10-Bed wing Pediatric Emergency Department (separate from adult) located in Loxahatchee, FL, in the greater West Palm Beach area.

Description:

54,000 annual patient visits (36,000 Main Emergency Department; 18,000 Peds Emergency Department).

Newly remodeled 10-bed pediatric Emergency Department (23 bed Adult Emergency Department)

Physician Shifts: 6a-6p, 6p-6a with 12 hours of APP coverage 10a-10p

Residents from three different HCA Emergency Medicine Residencies rotate through dept and 1 in-house Pediatric Residency Program also trains in Peds Emergency Department

Admit rate is 10%

Accredited NICU (24/7 PICU and NICU)

Qualified Candidates:

Have successfully completed at least 5 moderate sedation cases in the last 12 months without complication.

Be BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians (having completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or done a Peds Emergency Medicine Residency)

Current ACLS and PALS.
