CNA Position

Evenings, 2pm- 10pm- Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing

The CNA provides basic patient care. CNA practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides basic care to patients under the guidelines set forth according to policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights, telephones, and/or respond to patient requests; acts on routine requests and/or relays information to proper personnel.
• Serves patient food trays, snacks, and/or nourishment
• Assists with patient mobility, (i.e., lifts, positions patient in bed, transfer between wheelchair and bed, and between cart and bed)
• Assists with patient ambulation as directed.
• Assists in preparing patient transfer and/or discharge.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas.

Education/Experience

• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course and examination.
• Over 1 year of CNA work experience preferred.
• Current valid State certification is required.
• Maintains current CPR Certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies within allotted time periods.
