Barista (Part-Time)

The Tess 415 E Paces Ferry Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30305, USA As a Barista, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage quality and presentation in the workstation as directed by the Supervisor/Manager. Prepare hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas. Essential Functions Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment. Clean service or seating areas. Serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards. Follow safety and security procedures. Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team. Follow all additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Abilities Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must participate in all required meetings and training. Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards. Properly handle and maintain all equipment. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures. Serve customers quickly and efficiently. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations. Observe relevant health and safety standards. Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol. Have a thorough knowledge of all the AM Lobby Bartender items. Abide by all policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Job Qualifications / Requirements Experience: 6 months prior experience in a similar role. Physical Requirements The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to: Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation. Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel. Ascend and descend a ladder.
