Douglas H Kresge LLC (DHK) is hiring 2–3 experienced residential electricians for full-time W-2 positions serving Sarasota, Bradenton, Englewood, Boca Grande, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
PAY -$28–$36 per hour, based on demonstrated capability and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for an electrician who can take ownership of assigned work and complete it safely, accurately, and professionally with limited supervision.
“Independent” describes the expected skill level. This is a W-2 employee position, not independent-contractor or 1099 work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read electrical plans, specifications, and job information
- Lay out and complete residential rough-in and trim work
- Install devices, lighting, panels, equipment, and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical problems methodically
- Coordinate assigned work with supervisors and other trades
- Identify material needs and communicate shortages promptly
- Protect finished surfaces and maintain an orderly work area
- Record time and job information accurately
- Document purchases and submit receipts according to company procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers, builders, supervisors, and coworkers
- Help guide apprentices when assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated residential electrical experience
- Ability to complete normal electrical assignments with limited supervision
- Ability to read plans and understand electrical layouts
- Knowledge of safe electrical practices and applicable code requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Consistent attendance, reliability, and professional conduct
- Commitment to quality workmanship and avoiding preventable rework
- Ability to travel throughout DHK’s Southwest Florida service area
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with high-quality custom homes, lighting controls, generators, service work, or advanced troubleshooting is valuable but not required for every candidate.
