SharePoint/M365 System/Business Analyst

This role is a hybrid Systems/Business Analyst and Senior SharePoint Solution Consultant supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Enterprise Content Management (ECMS). The position provides end-to-end solution support, combining: Business analysis and solution design SharePoint architecture and governance User enablement, training, and adoption Operational support and migration assistance This role will directly support and help scale capacity for senior team members including Bob Reents, Brandon Edwards, and Laura Willemssen.

Skills – Must Have Microsoft Platform Fundamentals Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, M365 Admin Center configurations, and security concepts Familiarity with Azure Cloud infrastructure, access control, and data protection principles SharePoint Online & Microsoft 365 Site architecture, navigation, and page design Lists, libraries, metadata, and content organization Permissions models (M365 Groups, SharePoint Groups, inheritance) Site lifecycle and governance fundamentals Problem Solving and requirements gathering Demonstrates proficiency in collecting and analyzing requirements to accurately assess business needs. Experience in crafting effective solutions to address unique business challenges using existing technologies.

General Job Description Designs, analyzes, and roadmaps systems for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-based solutions. Defines system objectives, prepares design specifications, and resolves interface issues. Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams while supporting the implementation, governance, training and adoption of enterprise content management solutions. Operates within an Agile delivery model and contributes to both project-based and operational support initiatives. High interaction with business users and IT teams. Role includes both delivery and user-facing responsibilities.

Job Summary The System Analyst leads the lifecycle of SharePoint and M365 solutions, bridging business needs with technical implementation, and training. This role combines technical expertise, user enablement, and solution design to: Improve user experience and adoption Reduce support overhead through training and self-service Ensure solutions align with governance, compliance, and enterprise standards

Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Design and Delivery Design and implement SharePoint Online solutions (sites, structure, permissions, content models) Translate business requirements into scalable, supportable solutions Contribute to governance, architecture, and design standards 2. User Enablement & Adoption (Critical Focus Area) Lead SharePoint and M365 training and onboarding efforts Develop job aids, training materials, and reusable learning content Provide hands-on coaching to site owners and business users Promote best practices for content organization, permissions, and site design Monitor user adoption trends and proactively address gaps This role is expected to act as the primary user-facing SharePoint enablement resource. 3. Support & Operations Serve as a primary contact for SharePoint user support and guidance Manage and triage support requests (ServiceNow, email, Teams) Coordinate with technical teams (including TCS) for escalations Participate in daily/weekly support huddles and backlog prioritization (JIRA) Ensure timely resolution and closure of requests 4. Governance, Permissions & Content Management Guide users on permissions models and secure data access Support governance rollout (policies, standards, lifecycle management) Assist with metadata design and content organization strategies Promote consistent use of templates, job aids, and standards 5. Migration & Change Management Support SharePoint migration initiatives and content cleanup Assist users with pre- and post-migration activities Help define migration support models and user intake processes Provide post-go-live stabilization and issue resolution 6. Collaboration & Team Enablement Partner with IT, governance, and business teams to align priorities Mentor junior team members and support intern development Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users Contribute to knowledge base and reusable solution assets

Qualifications 1. Technical Skills Strong SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 experience Experience with system analysis, solution design, and implementation Familiarity with Agile delivery and backlog management 2. Business Acumen Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions Experience improving processes and user workflows 3. Communication & Leadership Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to train, coach, and influence users Experience working across multiple stakeholders 4. Problem Solving Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to handle both operational support and strategic design 5. Continuous Learning Keeps current with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and emerging AI capabilities Quickly adapts to evolving tools and enterprise needs
