Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: Long Island City, NY
Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Duration: 9 Weeks (Possible Extension)
We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to operate radiologic imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The role involves preparing patients for procedures, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to protect both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Establish rapport with patients to understand service needs and ensure cooperation
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and equipment setup
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure factors as needed
- Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Follow infection control policies and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate imaging and patient documentation
- Support team operations and complete assigned duties as needed
- Maintain annual age-specific competency requirements
- 0–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures and radiographic techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- New York State License (L.R.T.)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Strong planning, organizational, and patient care skills
- Diagnostic imaging procedures
- Radiation protection techniques
- Infection control practices

- Inventory management
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Team collaboration
- Quality focus and dependability
- Ability to create a safe and effective work environment
- Minimum: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
