Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the daily operations and growth of our community. In this role, you will work closely with the Community Manager to execute a wide range of responsibilities, including resident relations, financial management, property maintenance oversight, team supervision, and ensuring a positive and thriving community environment. The Assistant Manager serves as the secondary point of contact for residents and plays a crucial role in maintaining high occupancy rates and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Maintain all property accounting and reporting, including collecting and posting rent, financial and leasing reports, month end, pre close, bank deposits and ensuring a balanced rent roll. File resident evictions in a timely fashion. Prepare monthly close-out and financial reports. Process invoices for payment. Collect rent, fees, and other payments. Complete bank deposits, dispositions, and account reconciliations. Use property management software such as Yardi to record, track, and report on all financial workings of the community. Use your leasing and sales experience to lease apartments. Promote resident satisfaction and retention by regularly responding to complaints, questions, and requests in a timely manner. Take all appropriate action to resolve and address service issues. Teamwork Cheer, lead and mentor our leasing team. They will look to your guidance and experience related to leasing, closing, marketing, apartment files, and resident retention. Work closely with the Community Manager regarding all property operations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in property management. Strong understanding of property management operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and financial management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in property management software (Yardi) Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Skills: Resident Retention Leasing and Marketing Financial Reporting and Budgeting Maintenance Coordination Attention to Detail Problem-Solving Time Management Communication (written and verbal) Compensation The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. Additional Compensation Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
