REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Required
  • Microscopic specimen evaluation
  • Management of vascular access devises/central venous catheters
  • Familiarity with intravenous medications
  • Central line placement
  • Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Eligible
• Licenses: Licensed in VA
• Certifications: BLS
• Fellowship: Preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations and follow-up care
• Cover new consults from 8am to 5pm
• Round on assigned inpatients both for consult and primary service
• Hand off new consults to Fredericksburg on-call provider at end of shift
• Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
