Facility Address: 3601 S 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85723RN ICU RequirementsDuties include but are not limited to:Providing professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to assess needs of patients;The ICU RN must possess knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognizing adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to react promptly in emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures;Providing counseling, guidance and health instruction to patients; andIdentifying disease entities in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required.The ICU Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing duties according to established professional nursing principles, practices, and procedures in an ICU setting, assessing patient's physical, emotional, spiritual and socio-cultural needs;Demonstrate skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served; provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients;RN ICU QualificationsCandidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision -OR- Possess a bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience -OR- Possess a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing. Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States. Must have a minimum of 12 months experience in an intensive care environment during the last 36 months. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory for all specialties.
