Experienced PDR Technician

Job Overview As a Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) Technician at Dent Wizard, you will perform commission‑based mobile or on‑site dent repair using our proprietary PDR process. Your focus is on delivering quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and business development. Responsibilities Use proprietary process to repair ding and dent damage for customers on a mobile route or at a designated location. Review completed work with customers, walk lots, write work orders, and negotiate approvals to build business. Assist in training other technicians and collaborate with the manager to prospect new accounts. Perform the following tasks: 60% – Dent Assessment & Dent Removal Use specialized tools (dent pullers, rods, reflection boards) to manipulate dents from inside panels. Employ lighting and reflective tools to identify subtle imperfections. Massage dents and deformities carefully to restore original shape. 20% – Quality Control & Service Excellence Inspect repaired areas to meet quality standards and match surrounding paint. Make necessary adjustments or refinements. Explain repair process, provide cost estimates, and answer customer questions. 20% – SME Technician for the Division Maintain records of preparation processes, materials used, and any issues or defects. Ensure vehicle structural integrity during repair. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certification or training in Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) techniques, or enrollment in Dent Wizard’s PDR training program. Proficiency with specialized PDR tools, hand and power tools, and knowledge of automotive body structures and finishes. Strong work ethic, self‑motivation, and ability to work independently. Toughness and grit to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Physical Job Requirements Work in well‑ventilated automotive repair shops or refurbishing facilities. Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend, squat, and lift up to 45 pounds. Stand for extended periods. If mobile, ability to travel consistently to assigned areas. Capability of simple and fine motor hand manipulations. Drug Policy All applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check. Compensation & Benefits Commission‑based pay with uncapped earning potential: first‑year $65,000‑$75,000; long‑term $70,000‑$150,000+. Comprehensive benefit package: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
