Nutrition Services Substitute Job ID: 5231 Location: Districtwide Date Posted: 5/21/2025 VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking individuals to fill a part‑time Nutrition Services Substitute position for the remainder of the school year. JOB SUMMARY: Nutrition Services Substitutes are assigned work by the District Nutrition Services Office and report to the Nutrition Services manager of the assigned school. Duties include: food preparation, serving of food, washing pots and pans, and kitchen clean up at the end of meal service. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess the physical ability to perform a variety of food service tasks, lift up to 40 pounds, be in good health, possess excellent customer service skills, good work habits, and be a team player. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work year follows the school attendance calendar. Substitutes are called on an “as needed” basis, ranging from zero to five days per week, hours generally 3.5 to 4.5 hours per day. Must be able to work in all 19 district schools. Permanent part‑time positions are drawn from the substitute pool; being hired does not guarantee a future permanent position. PAY SCALE AND BENEFIT DISCLOSURE: Pay: Benefits: No Benefits Offered.
