An IHG Room Inspector ensures guest rooms meet high brand standards by meticulously checking cleanliness and quality after housekeeping cleaning. They verify rooms are "fresh and welcoming," covering everything from bed-making to bathroom sanitation, and report maintenance issues. Key duties include inspecting rooms, coordinating with staff, and updating room status. Key Responsibilities Quality Control: Inspects guest rooms, including bathrooms, for cleanliness, sanitization, and compliance with IHG brand standards. Maintenance Reporting: Identifies and reports maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or damages. Coordination & Reporting: Updates the Room Management System/Front Desk with the status of rooms (e.g., Clean/Vacant) and ensures prompt turnover. Team Leadership/Support: Assists in training new housekeeping employees, supervises staff, and ensures inventory is properly used. Guest Experience: Ensures all in-room amenities are stocked and that the room meets a high aesthetic standard to ensure guest satisfaction. Performs room attendant duties, when required. Performs other duties as requested by management. Qualifications Experience: Often requires previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is essential to identify hair, dust, or sanitation issues. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety protocols (e.g., MSDS, OSHA), and experience with Property Management Systems. Two years prior hotel housekeeping experience. Supervisory experience desired. Candidate Traits High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
