Surgical Veterinarian - Full-Time Opportunity (Phoenix, AZ)
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Veterinarian who is passionate about surgery and looking for a better work-life balance while continuing to provide exceptional patient care.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys focusing on surgery without the added responsibilities of traditional general practice. You will perform a variety of soft tissue procedures while working alongside a skilled support team in a collaborative surgical environment.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday)
- No on-call requirements
- No weekend shifts
Role Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures with precision while following proper aseptic techniques
- Conduct patient evaluations and assess surgical needs
- Perform soft tissue surgeries including spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals, and related procedures
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Provide post-operative care instructions and client education
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with veterinary standards and regulations
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes

- Passionate about surgery and interested in focusing primarily on surgical procedures
- Prefers a predictable schedule and improved work-life balance
- Enjoys a fast-paced surgical environment
- Comfortable performing a high volume of procedures
- Wants to spend more time practicing medicine and less time managing routine wellness visits and complex long-term cases
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Active veterinary license in Arizona or ability to obtain
- Active DEA license
- Professional liability coverage (PLIT)
- Strong surgical experience, preferably 4+ years
- Experience with soft tissue procedures and aseptic surgical techniques
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, anatomy, and patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting
