Senior M&A Training & Quality Specialist
$70k - $85kBenchmark International
Job Description
Benchmark International is seeking an experienced Senior Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Training &
Quality Specialist to strengthen Transaction Support (deal preparation) capabilities across our US
offices by providing practical training, subject-matter expertise, technology adoption, and quality
oversight.
This senior individual contributor will assess learning needs, guide and validate training content,
facilitate training, and reinforce adoption through coaching and follow-up. The role will also champion
the effective use of Salesforce, AI, and other technologies; establish best practices; and conduct
targeted quality-control reviews of confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and related work
products. Insights from these activities will be used to identify recurring issues and inform future
training and process improvements.
The specialist will partner with Operations leadership, Transaction Support leaders, and other
stakeholders to translate business needs, process changes, quality trends, and technology
developments into scalable learning solutions and consistent standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a Transaction Support subject matter expert in financial analysis, business writing,
CIM development, processes, systems, and best practices. - Assess training needs and partner with Operations and Transaction Support leaders to
prioritize skill gaps and development opportunities. - Translate complex M&A, financial, operational, and process topics into clear, practical
learning experiences. - Conduct targeted quality control (QC) reviews of CIMs and related work products to promote
quality, accuracy, and uniformity across offices; provide actionable feedback, leverage AI to
enhance review efficiency, and use recurring findings to identify training and process-
improvement opportunities. - Champion responsible use of AI and technology by evaluating tools, identifying practical
applications, establishing guardrails, and supporting adoption. - Host recurring meetings with US Transaction Support teams to share best practices, address
challenges, communicate updates, and promote consistency across offices. - Guide, review, and maintain training materials, presentations, facilitator guides, job aids,
exercises, and assessments. - Facilitate group, virtual, and individual training for employees at varying experience levels
and reinforce learning through coaching and follow-up. - Maintain training standards, content governance, version control, and current, scalable
learning resources. - Promote effective use of Salesforce, including data quality, reporting, workflow adherence,
system best practices, and user adoption. - Compile and analyze Transaction Support KPIs, training outcomes, and quality trends, and
communicate key findings and recommendations to management. - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training, technology, quality,
reporting, and Transaction Support processes. - Follow organizational policies, contribute to departmental and company goals, and perform
other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, communications, or a related field
preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. - 5+ years of relevant experience in M&A, Transaction Support, financial analysis, or a related
field; prior M&A or Transaction Support experience is strongly preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience assessing learning needs and developing, facilitating, and improving training for
adult learners. - Strong presentation, meeting facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to explain
complex topics clearly and engage employees across multiple offices and experience levels. - Ability to develop and review practical, engaging training materials and learning resources.
- Strong Salesforce experience, including platform navigation, reporting, data quality,
workflow support, and user guidance. - Comfort with AI, emerging technology, and digital learning tools, including testing
capabilities, identifying practical applications, establishing responsible-use practices, and
supporting adoption. - Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze financial and
operational information for presentation in M&A marketing materials. - Ability to read and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and supporting financial
documentation. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional business writing
and editing. - Demonstrated ability to review financial and narrative work products with accuracy, sound
judgment, and attention to detail. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to identify
trends, recommend practical solutions, provide constructive feedback, and influence without
direct authority. - Ability to quickly understand diverse businesses, industries, operating models, processes, and
learner needs. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, independently lead projects, meet deadlines, and
maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with learning
management systems, content-authoring tools, collaboration platforms, or AI-enabled
productivity tools is preferred. - Ability to travel by plane and automobile as business needs require; no personal history of
enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state
securities regulatory body. - Ability to work in the office every day as this is not a remote or hybrid position.
- Professional dress attire is required.
Salary
