Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Orangeburg, SC. Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program Alternatively, 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Benefits Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan for employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week 401(k) Plan participation for employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees All the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO for employees scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer: Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
