Our multidisciplinary crisis response team delivers community‑based crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year‑round, helping individuals experiencing mental or behavioral health crises. Our team responds with compassion, professionalism, and a person‑centered approach to de‑escalate crises involving individuals who may be experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, or a grave disability. When appropriate, the team also coordinates access to higher levels of care, including hospitalization and other supportive services, to ensure individuals receive the care they need. Pacific Clinics is seeking compassionate, motivated professionals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team serving San Benito County. We are looking for individuals who are skilled in crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and collaborative, trauma‑informed care. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals access timely, compassionate care when they need it most. Schedule Monday – Friday (swing shift) 4 pm – 1 am Job Summary Within a team process, develops a strength‑based relationship with youth and caregivers. Intervenes with maladaptive behaviors while building the youth's strengths and interests. Links to community resources, transfers skill sets to the caregiver, and creates permanent connections for youth and families. Assists with transitioning youth to the lowest level of care. Responsibilities Provides direct services to youth and families. Documents and delivers billable mental health services in alignment with MediCal regulations and meets productivity expectations. Engages and builds relationships with parents, youth, and others during the course of work with families. Utilizes strengths of youth and families to assist in achieving goals and outcomes. Supports family‑driven, strength‑based planning and interventions; takes advantage of therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations. Conducts observations of specific target behaviors, tracks progress, and modifies plans with families to support outcomes. Gives teams a hypothesis of function and underlying unmet needs to develop individualized, strength‑based strategies. Engages caregivers, family members, and natural supports to build youth‑specific parenting responses. Works in the community with youth and families to implement safety and skill‑refinement plans. Supports families in accessing community‑based program supports for sustained care. Develops community resources to serve children and families. Assists in meeting specific service needs and monitors outcomes. Participates in family‑finding activities—obtaining authorizations, creating teams, conducting searches, setting deadlines, and completing Connectedness Maps when needed. Documents interactions and maintains administrative expectations promptly; meets or exceeds all direct‑service and documentation requirements. Assists in developing program responses for needs identified across many youth and families when natural resources are insufficient. Builds on individual strengths, concerns, and needs with a balanced focus on families as units. Facilitates or co‑facilitates healthy group dynamics in various settings, providing an open forum for expression of feelings and ideas. Maintains solid, cooperative, culturally responsive relationships with youth, families, and community resources to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate appropriate activities for family‑identified goals. Performs other responsibilities as assigned to support department/business needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED plus one year of relevant experience with children, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to speak, read, and/or write another language consistent with program client needs. The employee must stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell as required for the job. Must move quickly or run and may be required to climb stairs or lift up to 50 pounds. If the program requires, the employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually. If employed at a Crisis Stabilization Unit, an employee must pass a Human Performance Evaluation Test that includes lifting, pushing/pulling, repetitive coupling, static weight, and other movements. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Driving is required; there may be unsupervised contact with children. Requires a full background check and TB exam.
