Maintenance Millwright

Millwright A member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment. This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position. Competitive wages based on experience. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, this position is eligible for other incentives. Duties / Responsibilities Installing, repairing and maintaining industrial buildings and machinery Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches Possibly fabricating parts and assemblies Welding, brazing, and cutting: shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, oxy‑fuel General plant maintenance Perform department duties as needed Required Skills / Abilities Basic math skills Attention to detail Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills Must be able to work any shift No prior plant experience required – Company paid apprenticeship program available Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Must be capable of lifting and handling 50 lbs Will be exposed to seasonal temperature changes Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration Education / Experience High School Diploma or GED required Previous mechanical or construction experience a plus Welding skills a plus Previous millwright apprenticeship program preferred Benefits Eligible after 30 days: medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurance, basic life and AD&D insurance, voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays Eligible at 60 days (520 working hours): participation in the production incentive pay program (potential to add $1‑2 per hour to base pay, based on production) Eligible after 90 days: paid relief days, paid time off (PTO), vacation, employee referral program, company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses Eligible after 6 months: 401(k) program Equal Opportunity Employer Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
