Job Overview Title: Pharmacy Technician Company: Walgreens Location: Annapolis, USA Salary: $22 per hour Educational Requirement: Graduate Responsibilities Assist pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy duties following federal and state regulations. Support pharmacy operations, including patient and medication data entry, prescription processing, and cash register management. Provide excellent customer service: greet patrons, resolve inquiries, recommend products, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience. Maintain pharmacy inventory: order, unpack, count, store, and track pharmaceuticals, handling shortages or overages. Handle phone calls for non-pharmacy matters and physician contact. Help with medication safety by checking dosage, verifying interactions, and reporting errors to pharmacist. Support pharmacy manager with stock management, documentation, and workplace organization. Assist in clinical services when required (collecting samples, coordinating care). Training & Development Obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician (PCT) or ExCPT certification through the state or company training program. Complete PPLs and continuing education credits as directed. Basic Qualifications Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Desired Qualifications At least six months experience in a retail environment. Prior experience working at Walgreens is preferred. Strong mathematical skills for accurate prescription calculations.
