Description: This position offers an immediate start. The Physical Therapist will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Technicians. The role involves assessing patient needs and initiating appropriate physical therapy interventions. Collaboration with other patient team personnel is essential in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork. The Physical Therapist will observe and evaluate treatment effects and the accomplishment of short- and long-term goals. Recommendations for changes to the physician will be made as needed. The patient population includes individuals with a wide variety of neurological diagnoses, such as CVA and Parkinson's, as well as orthopedic and cardiopulmonary issues. The role requires the therapist to work with medically complex patients, amputees, and those with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
