Overview Join to apply for the Customer Service Associate I role at Family Dollar We are seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. Responsibilities Assist customers with questions and recommendations Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register Maintain security of cash and protect company assets Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Other duties as assigned Skills And Experience High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills Strong organizational and communication skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Perks And Benefits Employee Assistance Program Retirement plans Educational Assistance And much more We are an equal opportunity employer and committed to recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting qualified people of all backgrounds, and make all employment decisions without regard to any protected status.
