Title - Healthcare (Insurance) Business Analyst

Duration 6+month Contract

*Not looking for medical bill coding

Responsibilities:

Lead the requirements gathering process and guide compliance with stakeholders during discovery and the working session. Validates the existing assessment, findings against the customers operational data once received. Builds and maintains the code-to-action mapping across the full 21-code third party status set, and writes the SOPs for retro filing and ongoing monitoring with clear ownership assigned. Responsible for documenting the separate work streams for daily and monthly file handling fixes in a structured form. Analyzes the retro tracker export to produce a measurable baseline of volume, lag, and the EDI error correction code pattern. Translates validated findings into build requirements for the Architect and Software Engineer, and prepares training materials for handoff.

Required skills and experience:

Proven business analyst experience on data or process remediation projects. Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills, including writing SOPs and mapping documentation from ambiguous source material. Experience analyzing operational or transactional data to produce volume and pattern-based baselines. Ability to translate technical findings into plain-language documentation for mixed technical and non-technical audiences. Experience supporting client training and handoff materials. Healthcare eligibility or Medicaid data experience is a plus; deep X12 EDI knowledge is not required, although highly desirable.
