RN - Emergency Department (Experienced RN) – Verde Valley/Sedona Medical Center Sign on/Relocation opportunities! Registered Nurse in a Level 4 Trauma Center located in Cottonwood/Sedona, Arizona. Identify outcomes, develop an individualized plan of care, and implement the plan to achieve expected outcomes. Assess patient progress toward outcomes and revise diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as appropriate. Contribute to patient experience by providing safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care and respecting patient privacy. Evaluate patient conditions frequently and adapt the plan of care accordingly. Perform aseptic techniques, maintain a sterile field, and uphold infection control principles. Maintain infection prevention standards. Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals. Assist as necessary with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital per policies and procedures. Education Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence‑based practice and research. Focus on personal development areas and engage in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students. Work collaboratively with peers and other health care providers and participate in ongoing in‑service and educational seminars. Participate in the mentoring and education of colleagues and students. Compliance/Safety Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety, as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Stay current and comply with state and federal regulations and company policies affecting the area of responsibility. Ensure all certifications and/or licenses are up‑to‑date and valid prior to expiration dates. Complete all company mandatory modules and required job‑specific training within the specified timeframe. Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, EMR entries, and patient responses. Report any safety‑related incident in a timely fashion and attend all safety‑related training programs. Monitor the work environment for safety issues and ensure others also work safely. Qualifications Education Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing (BSN preferred). Associate degree nurses must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire to obtain an RN position. Certification & Licensure Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license – Required. BLS – Required. ACLS – Required. PALS or ENPC – Required within 90 days of hire. NIHSS – Required within 30 days of hire. ATCN or TNCC – Required within 18 months of hire. NRP – Preferred. STABLE – Preferred. Additional Experience Familiar with electronic medical record system.
