About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Investment Officer (DCIO) to join its Investment Division. The successful candidate will be a key member of the leadership team, assisting the Chief Investment Officer in the development, implementation, and oversight of the company's investment program. This includes managing a diversified institutional investment portfolio to meet long-term actuarial return objectives while ensuring prudent risk management. The DCIO will provide strategic leadership across various asset classes, support the formulation of investment policy, and oversee both internal and external investment managers. Adherence to fiduciary standards, governance requirements, and regulatory obligations is essential, and the role involves acting on behalf of the CIO as designated and serving as a principal advisor to executive leadership, the Board of Trustees, and the Investment Committee. Applicants for the DCIO position at the company must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' of institutional investment management experience. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation is required and must be maintained in good standing. The role demands a high level of expertise in investment management, a strong understanding of financial markets, and the ability to make sound investment decisions in line with the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing investment portfolios, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
