Job Title: Nurse Navigator Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required. License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC certifications required. Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience required. - CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute in hand. - Two supervisor references required. Description: This position is for a Nurse Navigator specializing in Oncology. The role involves working within a Cancer Center environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends or night shifts are required. Responsibilities include patient education and support. The nurse will coordinate care for patients with various types of cancer. Experience with infusion centers and managing side effects is essential. Candidates must be able to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and related protocols is required. The nurse will handle care and management of ports and PICC lines. Wound care and sepsis management experiences are also necessary. Isolation precautions and neutropenic precautions must be understood. All applicants must be committed to providing high-quality patient care.
