ASCP - Certified Histology Technician
A leading hospital in Georgia is looking to hire an ASCP-Certified Histology Technician for full-time evening and night shifts. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced professionals and new graduates looking to grow their careers in a dynamic laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tissue Processing: Receive, trim, embed, and freeze tissue specimens; operate lab equipment such as microtomes and processors.
- Sectioning and Staining: Precisely prepare and stain tissue sections.
- Quality Control: Conduct equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate record-keeping and proper specimen labeling.
ASCP - Certified Histology Technician Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Histotechnology or a related field.
- Certification: ASCP certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a histology lab, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
