This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. PCI Employees are expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs and departmental objectives, as assigned. Professional Staff of the Poarch Creek Indians will consistently demonstrate the abilities to influence, innovate, flex their style, and problem solve along with a strong commitment to embodying the core values of the Poarch Creek Indians, which include Perseverance, Opportunity, Accountability, Respect, Culture, and Honesty.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary HR contact for employee relations, HR programs, policy interpretation, and training.Conduct employee relations investigations, facilitate grievance processes, and advise leaders on HR policies and procedures.Coordinate pre-employment screenings, onboarding, orientation, and employee training.Support recruitment and talent acquisition while serving as an HR resource to employees and management.Maintain accurate HRIS, Smartsheet, and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance and reporting.Assist with benefits, policy updates, HR process improvements, and cross-functional HR initiatives.Develop and deliver training, generate HR reports, and represent Human Resources at employee events.Perform other duties as assigned.Core QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required as determined by the hiring manager.Must have five years of professional employment experience in an office setting with the last three years dedicated to providing Human Resources services in a variety of HR functions.Must have at least two years of recent experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager providing an array of employee relations, training, leadership coaching, and organizational development services to leaders and line level employees.Must have recent experience in a management position.Must have recent presentation and facilitation experience and must successfully pass the facilitation demonstration assessment.Must currently possess and maintain SHRM CP or SCP Certification.Must be willing and able to successfully gain and maintain additional certifications as required.Must attend and successfully complete both internal and external training classes.Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.Essential CompetenciesStrong classroom facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups.Adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.Ability to serve as a positive role model and cultural ambassador.Total Rewards PackageWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program including:Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and voluntary benefitsPaid time off and paid holidaysEmployee Assistance Programs (EAP)401(k) with employer matchPerformance bonuses and COLA increasesPreference will be given in accordance with Title 33 (Tribal Employment Rights) of the Tribal Code/DFWP.INDIAN PREFERENCE, SPOUSAL PREFERENCE, OR FIRST GENERATION:In the event more than one applicant meets the requirements, as stated in a job description, preference shall be given in the following order: (1) Tribal Member (2) First Generation Descendant of a Tribal Member (3) Spouse of Tribal Member (4) Indian (5) Non-IndianIn the event that a position of employment is funded in whole or in part my any federal grant and/or contract or other public funding, preference shall be given in the following order: (1) Indian (2) Non-IndianIn order to receive preference, the appropriate documentation must be submitted.
